Wieder ein neues Jahr und immer noch im alten Trara.
Wieder aufgewacht im neuen Jahr, so manches schön doch war.

Das neue Jahr starten wir mit einem besonderen Bonbon. Wir freuen uns darauf Channel X das erste mal im K-Pax begrüßen zu können. Unterstützung kriegen sie von The Cheapers, die durch Tunes wie Bonfire und Ugly Dancers für Furore gesorgt haben. Als weiterer Gast kommt noch Tagträumer² dazu, der an diesem Samstag seine World Tour bei uns abschließen wird.
Besser kann das neue Jahr nicht anfangen. Wie immer ist der Eintritt bis 23 Uhr frei.

Steve Cole – Shoot of the sound globe. “Essential, the sound cocktails should raise fruitful on the hotbed of the electro culture”, so the poetical formulated endeavor of the beat missioner – Steve Cole. When Steve Cole is announced, the crowds covet admission to see and hear his tunes. It is devotedly accepted, that Steve Cole offers them a diet of dubbing tech-house and minimal spiced with electro-tunes. He doses this dedicatedly without using a crowbar so that his sounds rains down on the dancing crowd.

Robert Stolt aka Tagträumer² is a music lover of special kind. Since he was six years old he learned to play different instruments and therefore continuously picked up new styles of music that ranges from classical through jazz to modern sounds. Robert’s listening to his large and still growing vinyl collection got him interested in making music himself. Looking at the various record-covers and experience other produced stuff, he often got into daydreaming about how it would be to let people share his dreams through his own music.

Nils Ohrmann

Nils Ohrman can look back on a long history of adventurous experiences and excellent co-operations, amongst them fruitful liaisons with Erich Lesowsky, Musikant Klick and others. After DJing for around a decade already, Nils started setting up his own events at Rosi’s – our neighbouring club – in 2004. Together with his good friend Musikant Klick he organised the legendary party series “Unsere Kleine Welt – UKW”. Other parties and clubnights in Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne followed. Thanks to countless guest musicians, Nils was able to suck so much inspiration from them – that producing his own tracks came up to the agenda. In 2009 he released the result of a co-operation with singer Sandy Köckeritz on “Le Funk Fatale” (HULA HOOP001-CHAISELON EP), produced by Ronald Christoph. Another release “Greensleeves” (HULA HOOP002-GREENSLEEVES EP) followed – as well as a larger international attention (up to the Ukraine).

Ronald Christoph

Ronald Christoph is a Berlin-based techno and house producer and has been actively working as a professional musician since the early 90s. During this time he has paid homage to every genre imaginable; classical, jazz, reggae, hip hop, electro, crossover, metal, r ‘n’ b, rock ‘n’ rock and finally house and techno. His unique talents as a producer are in constant demand. 2007 has already seen the great and good of the Berlin and international DJ community call upon his studio skills. To date, Ronald Christoph has played more than 500 concerts and club gigs. His sound is often described as having a certain dirtiness, which should be experienced first hand! His range lies between airy sweet, melodic house sets and harder, partly experimental peak time live techno performances. Ronald Christoph also believes in the value systems that form the foundations of the techno and house scenes; individual freedom, brotherly love, tolerance, open-mindedness and non-violence. He finds Europe’s current internal and foreign policy, the restriction of civil rights and the atrocious fight for oil and war against terrorism an abomination. Therefore his music can be seen as a prayer for freedom and understanding.

Brett Knacksen

By the end of the 90’s Brett set up a music studio called “The Industrial Elves” – together with his friend Charles Tone (Pentagonik | LPG). Soon he starts experimenting with sound and effects different from the mainstream. His musical experiments resulted in a first CD release on “Transition Music” in 2002. Pushed by challenge he founded a first musical co-operation with his friend Dana in 2003 called “Engel & Ruhm”. After some expeditions to unexplored musical terrain he decided to set up his own netlabel called “Kurzarbeit” in 2007, where he released a lot of stuff produced during the past years. Together with Irie Electric he began another co-operation called “Apollo Slice” in summer 2008. Serious booking offers start to push his work, further releases followed – f.e. on Circuits Rec, Schwarzweiss Musik, Fukhaus Musik and others. Parallel to music production, DJing, label work and his live projects he intensified his activities for the electronic dance music radio “Sonett77″ over the last years – where he has a major influence today.

The acronym LFO is normally used for “light fuel oil”, but what Tagträumer² presents with his new release is truly nutritious fuel for the dancefloor. “Beyond LFO” developed a groove like chiseled, massive, overwhelming, heated up and extremely intense. A track that could easily run more and more and leaves you breathless and speechless as soon as the last bass drum is faded away.

Two remixes come from the feather of the well-known Pig & Dan guys. A steppin’ and ever-shifting rhythm is the foundation on which a swinging guitar melody unfolds their poignant effect and transform force into playful clarity. A suitable outdoor summer hit. In their second version, the melodic superstructure is purified rigorously, the residual remain compacted and the driving rhythmic moment dressed in a hypnotic dub garb. The clearly Breaks infected track “Monster” is inspired by the aesthetics of American B-movie monster movies from the 50s. Varying, cinematic sound cascades and these wonderful bleeps over all have a direct path into the head’s own sound cinema. Gaetano & Carsten Schorr transform the original version of “Beyond LFO” in their digital only available remix into a track with grained – percussive staining. The tune tells the story of melancholy, hope, all in the same moment and glide magically beguiling through the ear canal, as if through a tunnel, covered with chrome.

Es ist wieder soweit der Karneval der Kulturen zieht alles in den Bann was sich am Pfingstsonntag in Berlin rumtreibt.
Die Wicked Tunes Crew ist wieder mit dabei und möchte auch dieses Jahr die Musik als Mittel zur Verständigung zwischen Gleichgesinnten aus aller Welt nutzen.

So lässt auch die Aftershowparty wieder nichts aus!!

Zum 3.mal gibt’s sich MARTEN HØRGER die Ehre bei Wicked Tunes. Er ist zur Zeit unumstritten einer der angesagten Djs & Producer, travelt seit Jahren um den Planeten und spielt mit allem was Rang & Namen hat. Er ist nicht nur mit dem Burner Duo *Smash Hifi* unterwegs was er mehr als erfolgreich mit Altrocker Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy) bestreitet, sondern auch mit zahlreichen Releases und Remixen u.a.für WestBam´s Mayday & LoveParade Anthems in aller Munde.

Auch die SEXINVADERS sind mit von der Partie, Sie präsentieren ihre Mischung aus House, Elektro & Techno nun schon seit 2006. Sie haben bereits mit zahlreich erdenklichen Größen die Bühne geteilt, von Steve Aoki über Mr.Flash & Feadz bis hin zu Paul van Dyk & Sven Väth. Bei ihren Sets ist möglich: Tränen, Stagedive, Sing-Along und manchen Lacher..diese Emotionen machen ihr Dj Sets zu einem Erlebnis. The Sexinvaders sind mehr Rock´n Roll Show als Techno Set.

Zu dem beehrt uns TAGTRÄUMER², dieser Act ist seit 2003 in aller Munde. Seit 2008 führt Robert Stolt aka Tagträumer² das Projekt allein an und liefert herausragende Produktionen die aus sämtlichen Plattenkoffern nicht mehr wegzudenken ist. Ein Jahr später entwickelt er neben seiner Dj Tätigkeit ein Live Konzept mit dem er seit 2009 auf großer Welttournee unterwegs war, er bereiste u.a.Orte wie Shanghai, Leeds, Basel und St.Petersburg. Auch an diesen Abend wird Tagträumer² wieder eines seiner abgefahrenen & puschenden Sets abliefern.

Nicht wegzudenken sind natürlich auch die Wicked Tunes Residents Cherry aka BreakNtune & JayKosy. Beide sind von Anfang an dabei und lassen nichts aus um der Masse musikalisch gehörig den Arsch zu versohlen.

Mit Boson & Twisted Metaforce kann man 2 Live Sets erwarten die sich mehr als nur auf „das wesentliche konzentrieren“, beide releasen seit 2009 auf Raveart & Dirty Funk und sind stehts bemüht die Welt musikalisch zu verändern.
