Downtown Electronic sluit de zaterdagen van 2012 van Bootleg DJ Café af met een editie die om van te smullen is! Een uit Berlijn afkomstige dj/producer die vaker acte de présence heeft gegeven in het Rotterdamse nachtleven is terug in de havenstad om zijn tour van 2012 af te sluiten. In 2010 draaide hij al eens in Bootleg, een avond waar nog altijd met veel plezier op teruggekeken wordt want deze man weet wat hij doet als hij achter de decks staat: Tagträumer². Overdag misschien een dromer, in de nacht is h
ij erbij om jou al dansend te laten wegdromen en niet voor niks draaide hij in alle uithoeken van de wereld zoals in de Metro Club in Kyoto Japan, Full Moon Festival Great Wall in China, Movie Club in Pamplona Spanje, Kazantip Festival in Oekraïne en natuurlijk in zijn eigen stad Berlijn in onder andere Tresor. Ook in de studio is hij wegwijs en meer dan dat. Op zijn eigen label Black Fox Music verschijnen regelmatig releases van zijn hand en op labels als Rauschzeit, So What Music en Schallbox Records is muziek van de man te vinden met remixes van zijn tracks door namen als Swayzak, Pig & Dan, Dirtcrew en Pascal FEOS. Tijd om dagdromen om te zetten in de nacht en in het kwadraat: meeslepen zal hij je!

De kans om te ontwaken uit je elektronisch kwadratische droom krijg je niet want als Tagträumer² het roer over geeft dan doet hij dat aan de man die gerust tot de diepst elektronische meesters van Rotterdam mag worden gerekend, Tony Netten. Bekend van het fabelachtige Afterling, een regelmatig terugkerende naam op Undertone en twee keer dit jaar verwende hij de Bootleg eigenzinnig als hij is met zijn sound op het eigenzinnige Locale. Voor het laatst dit jaar in de Bootleg laat hij nog eens horen wat hij waard is, a whole motherfucking spacy lot that is…

Het inluiden van dit muzikale dromenland is in de handen van een man die tevens op menig Afterling de mooiste elektronische sprookjes heeft verteld, die mede organisator is van Fanatiek, de naam van zijn feesten die exact weerspiegelt hoe hij is als het om muziek gaat. Altijd met veel gevoel en hypnotische tonen, alsof hij bezig is een ratelslang uit een woestijnvaas te laten dansen, laat hij je wanen dat je je in de meest fantasierijke oase bevindt. Er is geen geschiktere opener in deze stad en ver daarbuiten te vinden voor deze bijzondere en laatste editie van 2012 van Downtown Electronic, Morad the Sjeik tovert je de nacht in.

The acronym LFO is normally used for “light fuel oil”, but what Robert Stolt presents with his new release is truly nutritious fuel for the dancefloor. “Beyond LFO” developed a groove like chiseled, massive, overwhelming, heated up and extremely intense. A track that could easily run more and more and leaves you breathless and speechless as soon as the last bass drum is faded away. Two remixes come from the feather of the well-known Pig & Dawn guys. A steppin’ and ever-shifting rhythm is the foundation on which a swinging guitar melody unfolds their poignant effect and transform force into playful clarity. A suitable outdoor summer hit.
In their second version, the melodic superstructure is purified rigorously, the residual remain compacted and the driving rhythmic moment dressed in a hypnotic dub garb.
The clearly Breaks infected track “Monster” is inspired by the aesthetics of American B-movie monster movies from the 50s.
Varying, cinematic sound cascades and these wonderful bleeps over all have a direct path into the head’s own sound cinema. Gaetano & Carsten Schorr transform the original version of “Beyond LFO” in their digital only available remix into a track with grainedpercussive staining. Robert Stolt aka Tagträumer² is a music lover in his own special way. At the age of six he started learning to play different instruments and therefore continuously picked up new styles of music that range from classical through jazz to modern sounds. Besides dj-ing at Berlin’s famous Tresor, his own productions entered several clubs around the world and can be found in the record collections of DJ’s like Laurent Garnier and Technasia.

Since 2009 Tagträumer² has been on tour with his live-set, paying a visit to Leeds, Vienna and Shanghai. His show promises pure vinyl, accompanied by video work which was especially developed for him.
